Inspiration for Your Week #4
Happy Monday, everyone! I can hardly believe 2021 is almost over… and what a year it has been! It’s been a blessing to see God’s leading and loving care in my own life this year. There is nowhere that is sweeter than the center of His will. It’s been a good year because God is good!
I’m excited about setting some New Year’s goals/plans, some of which I’ll share in next Monday’s post. I’m curious–do you make New Year’s resolutions or goals? Personally, I’ve found that goals are much easier to fulfil than resolutions!
For Christmas, I received a copy of a book I’m very excited to read–The Hidden Life by J.R. Miller. My copy is from 1895 (I’ve inherited my mom’s love for old books 😊) and it looks so good. I’ll plan on writing a book review when I’ve finished it.
This week’s thought is on something that we’re not always aware of, but that is such a precious spiritual truth. “I ought to study Christ as an Intercessor. He prayed most for Peter, who was to be most tempted. I am on His breastplate. If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet the distance makes no difference; He is praying for me.”–Robert Murry M’Cheyne
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16).
If you’ve placed your faith in Jesus Christ to save you, then He is also interceding for you before the throne of His Father! What a blessing!
May the Lord bless you all with a wonderful last week of the year!
Grateful for His love,
Naomi
