Hustle and bustle, scurry and go,
We've lost the meaning within the word "slow."
Our lives are consumed by worry and haste,
Our motto is plain: "There's no time to waste!"
But it is not wasteful to take time to pray,
And it is not sinful to rest on life's way.
To rest like a child whose Father is near,
Fully contented, with never a fear.
"Be still and know," this the Lord's kind command,
He holds this whole world in the palm of His hand.
We need no more fret like it all leans on us.
Simply be still, simply rest, simply trust.
