Lead Me to My Rock
Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
Psalm 61:1-3
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed:
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
When my heart is overwhelmed with weakness, lead me to the Rock of my Strength. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God (Psalm 62:7).
When my heart is overwhelmed with fear, lead me to the Rock Who is my Fortress and Deliverer. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower (Psalm 18:2).
When my heart is overwhelmed with sin, lead me to the Rock of my Salvation. The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. (2 Sam. 22:47).
When my heart is overwhelmed with confusion or doubt, lead me to the Rock Who is a Sure Foundation. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste (Isaiah 28:16).
When my heart is overwhelmed with grief, lead me to the Rock Who is my Refuge. And my God is the rock of my refuge (Psalm 94:22b).
When my heart is overwhelmed with temptation, lead me to the Rock Who is upright and righteous. The LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him (Psalm 92:15).
When my heart is overwhelmed with loneliness, lead me to the Rock Who is my Father. He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation (Psalm 89:26).
When my heart is overwhelmed with anxiety, lead me to the Rock Who hears my prayers. Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit (Psalm 28:1).
Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me (Psalm 31:2).
When my heart is overwhelmed with the sins and sorrows of the world around me, lead me to the Rock Whose work is perfect. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he (Deut 32:4).
