February Favorites

Hello friends! I thought it would be fun to share with you some of what I’ve been using and enjoying recently. February has been a cold and snowy month here, but there have also been a few days of tantalizing warmth…spring is coming! I’ve kept busy with music lessons and Bible school. And, I’ve also enjoyed having more time to read some new books. I have a little surprise for you at the end of this post, so… read on!

Five-Minute Gratitude Journal. I received the journal as a gift and it’s been fun to think of blessings to be grateful for! The Lord has truly blessed me, and rather than looking at what I wish were different, I want to be grateful for His goodness. I’ve linked a similar Christian gratitude journal above.

This isn’t technically a “February Favorite” since I made it in January, but if you have a cast-iron skillet, you should try this amazing recipe from Lodge Cast Iron for a skillet cookie. It was easy to make, and came out full of crunchy, gooey goodness!

Gold claw clips. Generally, I’ve never had good success with claw clips. They tend to fall out of my fine hair or not hold all of it. However, these ones work great! They’re surprisingly well made and I can whip my hair up in about one minute. I received mine also as a gift (they came as a pack of six different clips), but I’ve linked a similar one above so that you can see what I’m talking about. I believe they’re also available on Amazon.

Do you enjoy crocheting? I do—although I haven’t done it in a very long time. This reminds me I should start again! Anyway, I’ve found a great website by a Christian lady who offers crochet patterns and tutorials. Check out Daisy Cottage Designs!

Finally, I’ve enjoyed designing a free wallpaper for you! Unfortunately, I have only designed it to fit a widescreen laptop/computer right now, but I will be working on perfecting other sizes in the future (hopefully including one for smartphone). Enjoy, and please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any difficulty downloading or if the wallpaper does not show up properly on your computer.

I would love to hear what you’ve been using and loving—feel free to share in the comments below! Have a wonderful weekend!

With love,
