Peanut Butter Squares
Warning: Sugar overload ahead! These are more commonly known by the undignified name of “Peanut Butter Yummies” at our house. They never last very long around here! Enjoy this delicious, no-bake dessert; it’s perfect if you’re looking to make candy during the holidays. 3 sticks butter 2 c. peanut butter 2 c. graham cracker crumbs 2 1/2 c. confectioner’s sugar 1 12 oz. package chocolate chips Melt the 2 sticks of butter. Chicken Veggie Bake
This is the way that my mom got me and my siblings to eat our veggies when we were younger (now we do that voluntarily! 😊) It’s an adaption of my paternal grandma’s recipe. This casserole is really easy, making it the perfect recipe for a busy weekday night. It pairs well with the recipe for homemade rolls found in my post, The Gifts of His Grace. Enjoy! Serves about 8. 3 13 oz. cans of chicken breast 5 c. frozen mixed veggies (we buy in bulk at BJ’s) 1 10 3/4 oz. can cream of chicken soup 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1 c. shredded cheese (we usually use frozen mozzarella)…

If you’re new to using an instant pot, be aware that it does take about 15-20 minutes to warm up before it starts the pressure-cooking countdown, and then another 15-30 minutes (or a good 20 minutes longer sometimes) for natural release.…

The Gifts of His Grace
Sometimes, especially around this time of year, I just like to step back and review the workings of God in my life. As we approach Thanksgiving, I begin to think about the many ways in which He has been gracious to me. Somedays, the realization hits me so strongly: I am blessed. Unfortunately, my focus isn’t always on the blessings. Life has hard things, too—and this year has been no exception. Repeatedly, God has brought to my attention the need to accept His grace in walking through it all. The grace is there—freely offered and always sufficient. But the choice is mine whether I will accept it. When I surrender…
