Travel Diaries: A Day in Canada
Hey friends! I absolutely love putting these posts together, reliving our summer travels! Towards the end of July, my family and I went on a camping trip up to the Niagara Falls area here in New York. We have all gotten our passports over the past year or two, and it had been about 25 years since the last time we’d gone across the border to sightsee. So we planned to spend a day in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Niagara Falls, Canada. Since it was our first time going over in so long, we didn’t make a ton of concrete plans. We just kind of let the day take us where it…

Travel Diaries: Lancaster, PA
Hey friends! So this post is very much overdue…we traveled to Lancaster, PA for a weekend at the very end of October. I’m just now getting to share about our time there, which was short, but such a great experience. We are all hoping to go back someday and explore some more. Lancaster is a beautiful part of the country, and it’s definitely like a little world in itself. Lancaster has so much to offer, and it almost felt a little overwhelming to figure out what we wanted to do while we were there. My friend, who has visited Lancaster previously, kindly put together a great list of ideas, which…

Travel Diaries: Old Forge, NY
Visiting Old Forge is a bit like coming home. The little hamlet just inside Adirondack Park has a vibe all its own, and it’s a longstanding tradition for our family, starting with my dad’s visits as a teenager in the 70’s. The small-town feels, the smell of balsam, the unique shops, the sunshine on the river, and the people-watching, I am convinced are like nowhere else. We took an extended weekend trip up there a couple of weeks ago and had such a fun time. In this post, I’ll share with you some of my favorite things about Old Forge. Our trip was the perfect blend of relaxation and fun…

Or maybe you’ve lived here all your life but will find a new favorite! As I put this post together, I realized how blessed we were to be able to go out and about so much this summer. And what a privilege to have so many unique and fun destinations near to where…

Travel Diaries: Milford, CT
Hey friends! It’s that time of the year, and recently my family and I were so blessed to be able to take a vacation to Milford, CT. It’s a beautiful town on the Long Island Sound, and we had such a nice, relaxing time. I thought it would be fun to share some of the highlights and photos with you. 1 1 It took us about seven hours to get there, and we drove through most of NY, a small portion of Massachusetts, and almost all of Connecticut. New York is a beautiful state, and some of the parts we drove through I had been in before, but it was…
